January 21-23
In Social Studies we will learn about New Amsterdam and read about Peter Stuyvesant.
In Science we will learn about the Quetzalcoatlus, the largest of the Pteranodons.
In Bible we will read “Wisdom at School” from A Child’s Book of Character Building. The guinea pigs will visit our classroom and we will practice gentleness with them.
Our artwork will be displayed at Barnes and Noble this Thursday from 4 to 7. The children will recite “Nest Eggs” by Robert Louis Stevenson and sing a song. Please let us know whether you will be able to attend.
We are planning a field trip on Wednesday, January 29th, to see “The Probably Untrue Story”, an interactive performance for children by The Dallas Symphony Orchestra (located at 2301 Flora Street). The admission price is $6.00 per person. The performance begins at 10.00.

- No education seems to be worth the name which has not made children at home in the world of books, and so related them, mind to mind, with thinkers who have dealt with knowledge. — Charlotte Mason
