January 23-26

In Science the children will be doing a picture study and painting the Tourmaline rock that we studied this month. We have enjoyed learning about different kinds of igneous rocks. We will begin learning about sedimentary rocks next week.
Next week we will be visiting the Planetarium at UTA on Febuary 2 at 10:30. Admission costs $4.00 for children and adults. Please turn in your money by Monday, January 30th.
In Social Studies we will be reading about “Mount Olympus and his Inhabitants” as well as painting a picture of Zeus and Hera. The children will learn that Zeus and Hera ruled Mount Olympus.
In Bible we will read “The Walls Fall Down” from The Bible in Pictures. This story is about the Walls of Jericho from Joshua 6: 1-20.
In Music the children will learn to do a line dance together called “The Boogie Walk”.
