Our trip to the Cowgirl Museum last week was fun. We learned how astronauts eat, dress, and even go to the bathroom in space. There were lots of hands-on materials to explore, and on the second floor we were able to pretend to cook food over a campfire, visit a teepee, and ride a horse like real cowboys and cowgirls.
In Phonics we will be learning words that begin with the letter “v”. We will also be finger painting letter “v” on paper. Please be reviewing letter sounds with your child at home.
In Science we will be doing some texture rubbings. Last week the children enjoyed rubbing different kinds of leaves.
In Bible we will continue to learn about The Fruit of the Spirit, “Faithfulness.” We will have a puppet show and learn about how Abraham was faithful to God. We will read Abraham is God’s Friend, and God Gives Abraham the Best in The Bible in Pictures for Little Eyes.
In Music we will be using sign language to the song, “Mama’s Lap.” This song will also help with sequencing. We will also be listening to another social story.
Don’t forget that we will be closed next Monday for the Cinco de Mayo holiday.
