April 13-16

The children will sketch the roses at the front of the school for their Nature Journals. We plant peppers into the garden this week. In History we will read about the State Capitol and the Alamo this week. In Bible we will read “Manna, Quail and Water,” “God’s Rules,” and “Twelve Spies” in The Beginner’s Bible. We are planning a field trip to The Grapevine Sea Life Aquarium on May 14. We will leave the school at 9:15. Admission is $7.00 for children and $10.00 for adults. It will last from 10:30 to 12:00, and we are planning to eat at the Food Court afterward.

No education seems to be worth the name which has not made children at home in the world of books, and so related them, mind to mind, with thinkers who have dealt with knowledge. — Charlotte Mason
