March 28-31
In Social Studies we will begin learning about Texas and read about Austin and how the State Capital Building is a place where the state congress meets to debate the laws. In Bible the children will be making their own book about Jesus choosing his disciples. We will read the story from Luke 5:1 and talk about who the disciples were in the Bible. In Science we will be reading about the process of recycling paper and sorting the correct items that belong in the paper category. The children will be painting "The Musical Fisherman". We will read the fable and talk about how the moral of the story is that some people never do the predictable thing. Every child is required to wear tennis shoes or sandals to school each day. Please do not wear flip-flops to school. Wearing closed toe shoes are important for safety on the playground.

- No education seems to be worth the name which has not made children at home in the world of books, and so related them, mind to mind, with thinkers who have dealt with knowledge. — Charlotte Mason
