May 12-15
In History we will finish reading about George Washington and begin to learn about Abraham Lincoln.
In Science we will read from Common Bird Songs and listen to a CD with field recordings of the songs of various common birds. We will go on a plant hunt, and the children will record their observations.
Please bring your child and meet us at the Hillcrest Church of Christ this Thursday morning at 9:30am. to practice for our performance on Thursday evening. We will come back to school after we sing our song and practice the poem on the stage Thursday morning. On Thursday, May 15, we will perform before the production of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”. The children will sing “You Are My Sunshine” (accompanied by Mr. Collum on guitar) and recite a poem, “Foreign Lands”, by Robert Louis Stevenson. We are hoping that all of our children will be able to attend with their parents and stay for the play. We will perform at 7:00 (please meet at the Hillcrest Church of Christ and drop off your child to Mrs. Steincamp/Mrs. Hague at 6:45.
