October 9-11

In History we will finish making our shields and begin working on painting and decorating swords.
In Bible we will be learning about the Sermon on the Mount and color “A Very Important Meeting” to take home.
The children will be planting snap peas in the garden.  We will also sketch gourds for our Nature Journals.
We are planning a Field Trip to Green Meadows Petting Farm next Thursday, October 18th.  Everyone needs to bring a water bottle and a sack lunch to eat at the farm.
There is a sign up sheet outside our classroom to bring items for our Fall Festival Raffle basket.

No education seems to be worth the name which has not made children at home in the world of books, and so related them, mind to mind, with thinkers who have dealt with knowledge. — Charlotte Mason
