September 10-13

Thanks to Ray’s grandmother, Barbara, for baking the eggplant that we harvested from our garden last week.
In Science this week we will be learning about vascular plants and the children will be observing the parts of a leaf such as the vein and midrib. The children will be creating leaf rubbings and pressing leaves for our nature journals.
In Poetry we will begin learning the “Hayloft” poem by Robert Louis Stevenson.
In History we will be making our own mosaics and reading about the home life and education from the Ancient Rome book.
