In Music the children will practice making rhythms with their own Egyptian Sistra that as been displayed in the hallway.
In Social Studies we will be learning about Pyramids this week. The children will be narrating the Pyramid by David Macaulay. They will be coloring and creating their own 3-D pyramids with a camel and trees in the background.
The children will be narrating the story "The Bite Before Christmas" from Winnie the Pooh Christmas.
In Bible we will be reading and narrating "Rebekah Says She Will Be Issac's Wife" from The Bible in Picture for Little Eyes.
Proofs for pictures have been sent home. The orders are due back by this Thursday, December 1st to allow printing in time Christmas. Please turn in the order forms to Tara Garr or Mrs. Hague.
November 14-17
The children will be making pine cone turkeys and painting turkeys to put on their placemats that they will be using at our Feast on Thursday.
In Science we will be reading about Pluto this week. This is our last week to finish learning about the planets. We will begin learning about stars and constellations after our holiday break.
We will be working on our own owl picture frames to give to their grandparents at our Thanksgiving Feast.
On Thursday our Thanksgiving Feast will begin at 11:15. The children will recite a poem and sing some songs. Dr. Flint will speak at 12:00.
Be sure to bring the items that you signed up for in the hallway for our Thanksgiving Feast this Thursday, November 17 at 11:15. Bring enough for 14 kids as well as grandparents/parents.
