April 25-28

The children will begin making their own Recycling Book that includes all the different things that people can recycle.
We will be learning about the different clothing items that cowboys wear when riding a horse or lassoing a longhorn. We will read about how ranchers brand their cows to show ownership of their livestock. We will be making western necklaces to wear on Texas Field Day. The boys will string red, yellow, and blue beads with a cowboy boot, cowboy hat, and a badge. The girls will bead purple, pink, and white beads as well as a white horse, cowgirl hat, and cowgirl boot.
Texas Field Day will be this Thursday, April 28 at 12:00. We will cook and eat hot dogs, beans, and cornbread before going to the different Texas themed stations around the playground area. Please be sure turn in $5 to pay for the hot dogs that we will be cooking and eating at our Texas Field Day on Thursday. Beans, cornbread, and drinks will be provided by the other classrooms.
