Nov. 15-18

The children enjoyed showing their seeds that they brought from home during circle time. We will be observing the fall leaves and collecting them outside. Students may bring fall leaves that are interesting in color to show during circle time on Thursday.
In Music we will be singing “Sailing on the Mayflower”. For Creative Movement the children will also be practicing an Indian Rain Dance.
In Social Studies we will be painting and gluing corn to display with the Indians that the children made last week. We will be making Indian hats with feathers to wear at our Thanksgiving Feast on Thursday. We will also be making placemats to eat on at the feast and bear claw necklaces to wear.
We will be having our Thanksgiving Feast this Thursday at 11:30 with Mrs. Camp’s class. Please be sure to sign up to bring something for the feast. The sign up sheet is posted in the hallway.
Please be sure to turn in your field trip permission slip and money by Thursday for admission to the Polar Express Omni Theatre on Dec. 9. Kids admission is $6 and adults are $7.

No education seems to be worth the name which has not made children at home in the world of books, and so related them, mind to mind, with thinkers who have dealt with knowledge. — Charlotte Mason
